Bright Stars Childcare provides childcare around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Weekday Childcare Monday – Friday
Standard full day childcare from 8am – 6pm (6 to 10 hours) – £36 per day which includes all homemade meals, snacks, drinks and outings.
Extended Hours
Extended hours includes breakfast in the morning and homemade dinner in the evening. Please see our menu for more information.
Early start 6am – 7am (1 hour) – £8
6am – 8am (2 hours) – £15
Late finish 6pm – 7pm (1 hour) – £7
6pm – 8pm (2 hours) – £15
Price will increase by £1 for every hour earlier or later.
Schoolchildren – Term Time Only
This childcare service is only provided to children who are dropped off or collected from school.
Before school (breakfast club) 8am – school start (approx. 1 hour) – £6
After school 3pm – 6pm (3 hours) – £10
Childcare per Hour
Hourly childcare will only be provided for a minimum of 2 hours.
Childcare per hour (between 8am – 6pm) 2 hours £12
3 hours £18
4 hours £24
If you would like hourly childcare before 8am or after 6pm this can be arranged.
Half-day Childcare
If more than 4 hours care are required this will be classed as a 5 hour half day.
Half day between 8am and 6pm 5 hours £26
Weekend and Bank Holiday Childcare
At Bright Stars we are proud to offer weekend and bank holiday care to our families. Please be aware that these are the days when we are most likely to be on day trips out and therefore we cannot offer care at an hourly rate.
5-10 hours childcare (full day) between 8am – 6pm – £46
5 hours childcare (half day) between 8am – 6pm – £36

Overnight Childcare Monday – Sunday
Overnight childcare is from 6pm – 8am (14 hours) and is available for new-born babies up to children aged 10.
£50 per night for a single child under 18 months old.
£35 per night per child aged 18 months to 10 years old.
Overnight discounts for two siblings are available.
OFSTED allow two same sex siblings between 18 months and 8 years old to share a bedroom, this allows us to adjust our fees accordingly.
- For two same sex siblings aged between 18 months and 8 years old, overnight care will be charged at £55 per night for both children.
- Where siblings are not same sex or one sibling is younger than 18 months or older than age 8, a £15 sibling discount will be applied to the total cost per night.
Emergency Care
In an emergency we can collect your child from you, even in the middle of the night. We are always on call and will travel anywhere within Merseyside. Fees will be discussed at the time and would still be payable in advance.
Late drop off
If you are late in dropping off your child at Bright Stars by more than 15 minutes and we had planned to leave for a trip (play group, library session, cinema etc.) you must be prepared to bring your child to our new location.
Late collection fees
If your child is collected more than 15 minutes later than agreed, this will be recorded. For each time this occurs in the four-weekly period the amount of minutes will be totalled and charged at a rate of £5 per half hour.
Unexpected closure of Bright Stars Childcare
If Bright Stars is unable to provide care for any reason (sickness, flooding, bereavement etc.) then there will of course be no charge to our families. If you have already paid, this will be fully refunded on your next invoice.
Unexpected Child Absence and Changes to Booked Childcare
If a child is unexpectedly absent, full childcare fees apply for that day and half fees apply for subsequent days.
If you wish to change a booked day of care this will be free of charge providing you give us two weeks’ notice as we do our staff rota biweekly.
If your child is unexpectedly absent you must inform Bright Stars at the earliest opportunity.
If no contact is made within an hour of agreed start time then you will be in breach of this contract. This could lead to our contract of care being cancelled.
Bright Stars Holidays
If we are to take some planned holidays we will also give our families at least two weeks’ notice to arrange alternative care and will be happy to recommend an experienced alternative childcare provider.
We accept childcare voucher schemes.
We also have spaces for funded children.
